Shaun Tan on spontaneity
NH: You’ve mentioned before that you re-work your drawings a lot. How do you keep the spontaneity alive in your drawings? I know that’s an issue for a lot of illustrators. They notice that their sketches have a lot more movement and life in them than the final illustration.
